Brightside Manor has recently opened its Enhanced care unit, a 5 bedroom unit adjacent to the main care home. This unit offers a higher staff to resident ratio enabling our staff to care for those with increasing care needs due to a diagnosis of dementia more effectively. This low stimulation unit is connected to the main care home and residents of the unit are encouraged to utilise the care home freely ensuring synergy. Residents of the unit are encouraged to participate in group activities, events and parties, however for those unable to do so low stimulation activities are provided within the unit.
The unit has a small tranquillity garden with a fountain and relaxation music is played throughout the day to promote serenity and encourage reflection.
